Local Heroes Face Off In Grim Reaper Burger Challenge

Roswell, GA -- The annual Santa Paws Fundraiser and First Responders Grim Reaper Burger challenge will return to Roswell on Saturday.

The popular fundraiser will kick off at noon Dec. 12 at Lucky’s Burger and Brew Roswell, which is located at 1144 Alpharetta Street.
From noon to 3 p.m., residents can stop by to take dog and kid photos with Santa Claus with a $5 minimum donation, which will benefit rescue organization Adopt A Golden Atlanta. Additionally, organizers will also host the Best Holiday Pup Costume Contest. First-place winners will receive a $50 prize.

The Grim Reaper Burger Challenge, which will feature teams from the Roswell Police Department and Alpharetta Department of Public Safety who will compete to devour the oversized burger.
Sounds easy enough, right? Well, not exactly. Check out the ingredients of the burger:
- 4 pounds of ground beef
- 8 slices American cheese
- half-pound of bacon
- 8 fried eggs
- a mound of onion rings
- mayonnaise
- All constructed on a specially made 1.5 lb challah bun
Participants will have one hour to eat the Grim Reaper, and family, friends, co-workers and supporters are invited to come and cheer the local first responders on. Winners will be featured on Lucky’s Wall of Fame.
