ROSWELL, GA -- The city of Roswell and the Georgia Department of Transportation is reminding the traveling public that contractors with the state will close a major intersection this weekend to prepare for a traffic shift.

Traffic will be detoured around the closure using Alpharetta Highway/S.R. 9, Crossville Road/S.R. 92 and Rucker Road. Detour signage will be in place and public safety crews will oversee traffic flow along the detour route.
The roundabout project, which GDOT said is expected to wrap up by Sept. 30, includes a multi-use trail on the south side of Hembree Road that will connect with the existing trail at Upper Hembree Road.
