Man Hit By Car Was Stabbed Before Accident: Police
The 32-year-old pedestrian was struck early Wednesday morning on Marietta Highway in Roswell.

ROSWELL, GA -- The pedestrian who was hit early Wednesday morning in Roswell had been stabbed several times.
That's according to Roswell police, who is investigating the accident reported around 4:52 a.m. July 27 on Marietta Highway just east of Coleman Road.
An initial investigation reveals a black Acura was traveling eastbound on the highway when it struck a man lying in the middle of the roadway, said Roswell police spokesperson Lisa Holland.

The pedestrian, identified as 35-year-old Marietta resident Lawrence Cornelius Range, was transported to an area hospital, which is where doctors discovered the patient had multiple stab wounds.
The driver of the Acura, Onieda Davis, remained on the scene and has been cooperating with the police investigators, Holland added.

A witness told police an older model tan sedan fled the scene of the accident. Anyone with information about the vehicle or the victim is asked to contact Detective P. Ried at 770-640-4522.
