Mimosa Hall Estate Sale This Weekend
The estate has been home to six generations of the Hansell family, since 1868.

From The Board of Trade: The Board of Trade Consignments is selling items from Mimosa Hall beginning Friday, September 1.
Mimosa Hall is one of Roswell’s last privately owned antebellum homes. Mimosa has been home to six generations of the Hansell family since 1868. The City of Roswell is purchasing the house and its surrounding gardens. All profits will benefit the Friends of Mimosa – a non-profit group who will care for the estate. The City also purchased approximately $30,000 worth of furnishings. Other household and garden items from the estate will be for sale at The Board of Trade at 1078 Alpharetta Street (Highway 9). Included in the sale are newer and vintage books from the Mimosa Hall library covering Southern architecture, Civil War battles and generals, Southern politics, gardening and living in the South.
Also available are wooden bobbins and large industrial canisters from the Roswell Mill which ended operations in 1975. Buyers will also find shabby chic pieces from the estate’s period barn such as a large wooden pig trough, antique ladder, rocking chair, work tables and garden items. “This is an eclectic mix of items from six generations of living in Roswell,” said store owner, Beth Richardson. The Board of Trade is open from 10-5:30Monday through Saturday and 12-5:00 on Sundays. The store will be closed for Labor Day.
