More Than 1K Coats, Scarves Donated To Roswell Families In Need
The North Fulton Community Charities helped families in November gear up for winter weather during its annual Warm Coats event.
ROSWELL, GA — More than 1,260 new and gently worn coats along with 2,600 scarves, hats, gloves and other accessories donated by Roswell community members were distributed this month to neighbors in need.
The North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) helped families gear up for winter weather during its annual Warm Coats event held November 5-7 at The Cooler Alpharetta, according to a news release.
“More than ever the Warm Coats program is helping families save money on necessary items, which frees up income to put toward housing,” said Holly York, executive director, NFCC in a statement. “With costs increasing for food, clothing, and housing, NFCC hopes to ease hardship for thousands of individuals in our north Fulton community. We are so grateful for all the donations to make this program happen.”
