ROSWELL, GA — The work of Fabio Napoleoni, a nationally renowned artist who was inspired to create his own brand of Heart Art after his daughter was born with severe heart defects, will make its debut this weekend at Vinings Gallery on Canton in Roswell.
The exclusive collection will feature 50 limited editions of his work displayed along with 12 to 15 originals, including original oils and pen and inks. The display will be up Friday, Aug. 24 through Sunday, Aug. 26.
This exhibition will also support Enduring Hearts, a unique Marietta-based nonprofit organization that funds research to increase the longevity of organ transplants, improve the quality of life for transplant recipients, and eliminate pediatric heart diseases that lead to transplantation.

“All of Fabio’s works present nostalgia, sorrow, and moments that lift the soul, coupled with vivid colors and captivating characters that invite you to take an emotional ride with your mind and heart,” said Liza Rawls, Vinings Gallery on Canton’s director. “Fabio’s originals are in high demand, so the fact we will have them at this show is significant.”
An 11-inch-by-14-inch pen and ink sketch for an original piece entitled “Resilient” will be unveiled and auctioned off at private event on Aug. 23, but will be displayed throughout the weekend. Proceeds will benefit Enduring Hearts. Looking to the future, Napoleoni will prepare an original oil painting from the sketch to be sold at the 4th Annual Bourbon Gala & Auction. All proceeds from that auction, set for Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, will also go directly to Enduring Hearts.
“My wife and I can completely relate to having a child deal with a heart condition and the emotional ride that you go through hoping every day is a good one,” said Napoleoni “Rejection is at the top of the list for kids with heart abnormalities and constant fear every time they get sick. Finding a way to end rejection would be the golden ticket. When I was asked to contribute there was no hesitation as this is an issue every heart parent can understand and get behind.”
Currently one in four children who receive a heart transplant need to get a second one within five years of the procedure. The results of Enduring Hearts funded research projects contribute to the clinical and scientific knowledge about many important aspects of organ transplantation, such as the mechanisms of long-term organ deterioration, the consequences of tissue injury, and opportunities to intervene, postpone, and eliminate rejection processes. The non-profit organization has raised more than $3 million for research.
“Having an artist of Fabio Napoleoni’s international stature come to personally support Enduring Hearts’ mission in such an impactful way will leave its imprint on us forever,” said Carolyn Salvador, executive director of Enduring Hearts. “We are developing a long-term relationship with Fabio and his family and are so grateful for the tremendous interest level and generosity he has already shown to Enduring Hearts.”
