New Roswell Elementary School Gets Official Name
The Fulton County School Board approved the name of the school, which is serving as the temporary home of Esther Jackson Elementary School.

ROSWELL, GA -- At its May 10 work session, the Fulton County School Board approved the names of two new elementary schools opening in August.
The first school – Vickery Mill Elementary – will become the new moniker of the school on Highway 9 in Roswell.
The name reflects the historic mill founded on Vickery Creek, which was the city’s original power source. The site, which has been temporarily housing Esther Jackson this school year while its new facility is built, will officially become Vickery Mill once students and staff move back to the original Martin Road site.
