NFCC Seeks Holiday Donations For Low-Income Families, Kids

ROSWELL, GA -- Santa Claus will soon make a visit to the area, and North Fulton Community Charities and its Holiday Program team is preparing to become Kris Kringle's “holiday elves.”

With a mission to build self-sufficiency, and prevent homelessness and hunger in our community by providing emergency assistance and enrichment programs, the agency provides coats and winter accessories, Thanksgiving items and holidays gifts to help alleviate the financial burden of the holiday season.

“Without the generous support of our community through the years, this program could not exist," Jacquie Tracy, Holiday Program coordinator. "In-kind donations, financial donations, and volunteering your time are vital to the success of this program and serving our families in need.

Last year, NFCC assisted over 700 low income families, 1,800 children and 100 seniors in our community. Our agency continues to have the “courage to care” through the combined efforts of our volunteers and dedicated donors.

The community's impact over the years are so vital that Emily, a single mother of two, said, “My heart is overjoyed to know that there are still people who care. Thanks for the gifts and food during the holidays.”
