North Fulton Charities Santa Shop Serves Nearly 1,500 Children

More than 600 families camped out overnight to be the first in line to select from thousands of toys, gift cards, household items and more.

ROSWELL, GA — North Fulton Community Charities’ annual Santa Shop and Sponsored Family Program served 627 families benefiting 1,476 children. Hundreds of organizations, businesses and individuals held toy and gift card drives for the program. North Fulton Community Charities took a space donated by Hubert Realty and transformed it into a toy store format with sections for children of every age as well as special areas for sporting goods, games, gift cards and stocking stuffers to name a few.

Families camped out overnight to be the first in line to select from thousands of toys, gift cards, household items and more. It took the help of 500 volunteers to coordinate and execute the programs.

“The North Fulton Community Charities Holiday Program is a long-standing tradition in the area and yet every year we are humbled by the generosity of our community in giving back to those in need,” said Eden Purdy, Director of Programs at North Fulton Community Charities. “As the cost of living continues to rise in our area, many of our families are struggling to keep a roof over their heads. This holiday program helps ease the financial stress that families feel during the holidays allowing them to enjoy the spirit of the season.”
