Nyden Seeks Roswell City Council Post 3 Seat

Mr.Nyden brings experience as a successful small businessman, a passion for and experience in protecting neighborhoods as he seeks office.

From The Office of Mike Nyden: Today, Mike Nyden formally qualified for Roswell City Council, Post 3 in the pending elections to be held on November 7, 2017. Mr. Nyden brings experience as a successful small businessman, a passion for and experience in protecting neighborhoods, and an understanding of various challenges facing our city as he seeks office.

“I’m most interested in protecting our neighborhoods, and preserving our unique history and sites, while finding ways to bring high paying jobs to Roswell. There’s no question that we haven’t found the key to addressing some of our blighted areas either, and I agree that we need to, “said Nyden. “I think this is the citizens’ vision for our city and I just happen to agree. Our community spoke during the city election in 2015, and again earlier this year. I plan to continue the work started by our city council to accomplish the vision that the voters have been so clear about.”

“I also hope to instill, not only through my words, but through actions, the idea of respect for the opinions of others, and a return to civility. I can have a different view on some issue than other people, and still respect them and their opinions,” continued Mr. Nyden. “Let’s respect each other, because I think it’s the cornerstone of creating consensus.” “We have real problems facing our city. Seems to me like the best way of finding solutions for issues is to first get people, from council people to regular citizens, to come together to define what the problems are. For instance, our traffic issues are different for each area and I expect a different solution to the traffic problem on Jones Road, where there is speeding and gridlock, than I’d expect at Holcomb Bridge and 400. Maybe you do too. If we can get that far, maybe we can come together to find consensus on the best solution for each problem.”
