Opioid Crisis Forum Scheduled For June 26 In Roswell

The forum, hosted by the Roswell Rotary Club's Opioid Awareness Task Force, will be held at Roswell City Hall.

ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell Rotary Club will host a forum on the opioid crisis later this month at Roswell City Hall.

The Opioid Crisis Forum will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 26 at City Hall at 38 Hill Street. The forum, hosted by the Rotary Club's Opioid Awareness Task Force, will include the screening of a high school short film titled "Only One Time."

After the film, a discussion will take place about the crisis gripping the county. You can expect to hear varying perspectives from medical professionals, mental health experts, law enforcement and public safety personnel, legal experts and those recovering from opioid abuse and addiction.

The event, also held in partnership with the Roswell Police and Fire departments, will also provide a slew of resources for residents to use and share with others in the community, including education, inpatient and outpatient treatment options and family support.
