Patriot Flight Takes Roswell's First Responders to 9/11 Memorial

The Roswell Rotary Club and State Sen. John Albers will host the event on Tuesday, Sept. 27.

ROSWELL, GA -- Next week, the Roswell Rotary Club will host a Patriot Flight for the city's first responders.

The event, co-hosted by Roswell State Senator John Albers, will be held Tuesday, Sept. 27.

There will be a hero’s departure event that will start at 5:30 a.m. and a welcome home celebration scheduled for 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Residents are asked to gather by the fire engines on Woodstock Road at Canton Street to cheer on the first responders as they prepare to leave.

Modeling the Honor Air Flights taking veterans to Washington, D.C., each year, the Patriot Flight will take the first responders to visit the 9-11 Memorial & Museum in New York City.

The welcome home celebration will be held at Roswell Area Park at 10495 Woodstock Road, an event that will also be open to the public.
