The work, which should begin on or around May 24, will be centered at 375 Pine Grove Road and extend about 150 feet along the street.

ROSWELL, GA — A major thoroughfare on the west side of Roswell will close for roughly three weeks so the city can make improvements.

Pine Grove Road will close for about 21 days so the city's Stormwater Utility Division can embark on a new culvert replacement construction project. The city's contractor is scheduled to begin work on or about Thursday, May 24.

The work will be centered on 375 Pine Grove Road and will extend about 150 feet along the street. Roswell notes the project will include removal and replacement of existing infrastructure and minor drainage improvements.

Notice will be provided to affected property owners before the road closure. The city will also place electronic message boards in the area to inform the traveling public of the closure.

The project also will result in interruption of water service to adjacent homes, as contractors remove and install a sanitary sewer line and replace a water main. The contractor will notify affected homeowners in advance and will attempt to schedule any needed disruptions during off-peak times.

The entire project is anticipated to take approximately 120 calendar days, including the 21-day road closure.
