Thieves Spend Nearly $4K After Banana Distraction Theft At Aldi's: Roswell Police
Two men pickpocketed a man after distracting him with a banana. They used his credit cards to purchase nearly $4,000 in merchandise.

ROSWELL, GA — Roswell police are warning people to be on the lookout for two men who are pickpocketing their victims using a banana as a distraction.
Police said two men stole an elderly man’s wallet Feb. 25 at an Aldi’s store on Mansell Road.
The man in front reportedly yelled, “You’re standing on my banana!”

The thief then shook the victim’s pant leg to distract him while the other stole his wallet, police said. They then left in a white Chrysler Pacifica and used the victim’s credit cards to purchase nearly $4,000 in gift cards from Sam’s Club.
