Police: Woman Tried To Deposit Check Stolen From Roswell Mailbox

The Roswell Police Department is asking its citizens to help them identify a woman accused of stealing a check and trying to deposit that check into a bank account.

According to the agency’s Facebook page, a resident recently placed a check into the mailbox at his home off Hembree and Chaffin roads. Before the mail carrier could collect the check, Roswell police said someone stole the check.

Later in the day, the woman in the photos allegedly tried to deposit the check into a bank account using an ATM machine in Duluth, the agency said.
