Primrose School of Roswell North Hosts Kids Fun Run at the Third Annual St. Peter Chanel 5K

The Fun Run is a free event that begins at 9 a.m. on November 19th following the end of the 5K.

ROSWELL, Ga. (November 14, 2016) – This Saturday, November 19, Primrose School of Roswell North will host a free Kids Fun Run at the third annual St. Peter Chanel 5K, held annually by the St. Peter Chanel Knights of Columbus Council 13217. Primrose Roswell is also a proud sponsor of the 5K. The Fun Run is a free event open to children aged eight and younger. It will be held at Blessed Trinity High School in Roswell, where the 5K will also begin and end. There will be children’s games on the Blessed Trinity lacrosse field before and after the Fun Run and each child will receive a medal after running. All children eight and under are welcome to come join the fun and families are welcome to join to cheer on the runners as they cross the finish line.

“Community involvement is an important aspect of the Primrose Balanced Learning© curriculum that we teach the children on a daily basis,” said Lynn Manning, one of Primrose Roswell’s owners. “We believe that character development, along with a robust academic program, is essential to preparing our children for the future.”

The St. Peter Chanel 5K is an annual event that benefits Special Olympics Georgia and other charities that support children with disabilities. Last year, the 5K attracted 500 participants and raised over $18,000 for charity. This year, the St. Peter Chanel Knights of Columbus Council 13217, who organize the event each year, hope to increase participants and raise more money for charity. It is not necessary to run or walk the 5K to donate to the cause. Anyone interested in more information can visit https://5k.supportourprojects.com/ to donate to the event or register for the race.
