Race Helps Club Fund Scholarships For Roswell Students

The sixth annual Spring K Classic, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Roswell, will be held March 19 at Sweet Apple Elementary School.

ROSWELL, GA – The Kiwanis Club of Historic Roswell is gearing up for its 6th Annual Spring K Classic 5K and 10K.

The event will be held March 19 at Sweet Apple Elementary School.

The 10K race begins at 7:45 a.m. while the 5K race kicks off at 8 a.m. The entry fee is $30 and race day registration is $35. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. on race day.

All proceeds from the Spring K Classic will benefit the club’s projects, including its college scholarship program for local high school seniors.

The Kiwanis Club of Historic Roswell is a part of a global organization – Kiwanis International – made up of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

Under its service leadership program, the club sponsors three Key Clubs and two Builders Clubs in Roswell, providing them with opportunities to perform community service and develop leadership skills.

Since its inception in 1980, the club has invested over $500,000 in the community through volunteer hours as well as direct funding through efforts such as providing college scholarships to local high school seniors, making donations to the North Fulton Community Charities, volunteering at the Roswell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and partnering community and youth affiliated non-profits such as Keep Roswell Beautiful and the Child Development Association.

Sweet Apple Elementary School is at 12025 Etris Road in Roswell.
