Here are the top five stories in Roswell today:
- A&M Farms has recalled Vidalia onions sold in Publix stores in Fulton County and nine other Georgia counties. Internal testing by A&M Farms detected Listeria on a single pack line of its Vidalia onions — specifically for those purchased between Jun. 22 and 24. (WSB Atlanta)
- Former NFL star Demaryius Thomas was found dead in his Roswell home this past Dec. 9. Yesterday, Jul. 5, Concussion Legacy Foundation (CLF) doctors from Boston University who had been studying the former NFL star's brain said Thomas had chronic traumatic encephalopathy or CTE, a degenerative brain disease which is linked to repeated blows to the head. The Fulton County coroner's office has not yet ruled on the cause of death. (ABC News)
- More Roswell police and fire crews were standing by at the Jul. 4 festivities than usual due to the mass shooting at a Jul. 4 parade in Illinois. No major issues were reported in the metro Atlanta area during the festivities. (CBS 46 News)
- The Fulton County District Attorney's office subpoenaed Rudy Giuliani, Senator Lindsey Graham, John Eastman, Kenneth Chesebro, Cleta Mitchell, Jenna Ellis, and Jacki Deason. They have been subpoenaed to testify in front of a grand jury investigating possible criminal interference in Georgia's 2020 elections. (WSB Atlanta)
