Rep. Handel Endorses Judy In Roswell City Council Race
Candidates Matt Judy and Karen Parrish are the candidates in the Dec. 5 runoff for the Post 6 seat held by incumbent Nancy Diamond.

ROSWELL, GA -- A candidate in the special election runoff vying to win the Roswell City Council Post 6 seat has gained an endorsement from a North Fulton County political heavyweight.
U.S. Rep. Karen Handel, who represents Georgia's 6th Congressional District, has endorsed Matt Judy for his bid to win the seat. Judy and fellow candidate Karen Parrish are running for the seat held by Nancy Diamond, who did not seek re-election to another four-year term.
Handel said she and her husband, Steve, are "proud to endorse" Judy, a Roswell native.

"Matt is well respected throughout our community, and we trust him to do what is in the best interest of our historic city and its citizens," she said in a prepared statement provided by Judy's campaign. "We urge you to join us in voting for Matt Judy."
Judy said he was also honored to have the support of the Handels.

"She knows firsthand how important every vote is, and she knows that my experience as a small business owner makes me uniquely qualified to control costs, protect taxpayers and preserve our neighborhoods and historic assets," he said of the United States representative.
Early voting in Roswell's special election runoffs, which includes the office of mayor and the Post 3 seat, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 27 through Friday, Dec. 1. Lee Jenkins and Lori Henry are running in the runoff to become the city's next mayor while the Post 3 seat is a battle between Mike Nyden and Sean Groer .
