Repairs Continue On Mansell Road Bridge

This project is expected to last for 90 days, weather permitting, and will cost $100,973.

ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell Department of Transportation, along with a local contractor, have begun maintenance repairs to the south half of the concrete deck bridge on Mansell Road.

Lane closures will occur on the eastbound lane from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents can expect delays in this area and are encouraged to consider another route. The Greenway trail will be usable during this project with a partial lane closure. Signage will be placed near the bridge to notify pedestrians of the partial closure near the bridge.

During this closure, staff will be painting 20 H-piles and sway bracing, providing reinforced concrete to the 20-H piles, doing preventive measures to control erosion, and cleaning and re-sealing all existing concrete decking joints. Such periodic bridge maintenance aids the city in extending the life of the bridge infrastructure.
