River Eves Elementary Awarded Grant To Enhance STEM Programs
The $7,500 grant was awarded by Project Lead The Way and The Goizueta Foundation.

ROSWELL, GA -- Project Lead The Way, in partnership with The Goizueta Foundation, has selected River Eves Elementary to receive a $7,500 grant to further the school’s STEM education programs.
The school’s current STEM curriculum focuses on developing critical thinking through the engineering design process, which aligns with the Project Lead The Way module that will be implemented in the school’s STEM Lab beginning in the 2016-2017 school year.
“Project Lead The Way’s program is a perfect fit to enhance our STEM focus that develops students into problem-solvers,” said Principal Neil Pinnock. “Since River Eves began offering STEM activities a few years ago, we’ve seen students’ interest and confidence in math and science rise significantly. Knowing the growth of STEM-related jobs forecasted for our state and the U.S., we’re engaging students in the classroom today and preparing them for a career in a STEM field later on.”
