Roswell Arts Festival Returns Saturday
The 49th annual festival will be held Sept. 19-20 in downtown Roswell.

Residents in and around Roswell will soon be able to enjoy two days of fine arts, orignal crafts and a fun lineup of entertainment and children’s activiites.

That’s because the annual Roswell Arts Festival will come to town this weekend. The 49th annual festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20 at the Town Square.
This year’s festival will also feature a variety of food trucks to satisfy the appetites of hungry customers.

Residents will also be able to express their artistic side by taking a turn at painting on the community canvas.
Access to the festival is easy and visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the free shuttle running from Roswell City Hall to Town Square.
The shuttle will be running for the duration of the festival, and will have plenty of room to store anything that you might purchase.

The event is presented by the Roswell Recreation Association and raises funds for recreation and parks programs in the city.
To date the group has given over $1 million for recreational needs of Roswell citizens. In its 49 year history, the Association has contributed to funding for the initial 63 acres for Roswell Area Park, helped equip the swimming pool when it opened in 1975, aided in constructing an athletic field, assisted in the Bicentennial renovations of the historic Town Square, provided 9.37 acres to add to Roswell Area Park.
The group has also furnished and equipped the city’s Community Activity Building; helped with renovations and improvements to Vickery Creek Park; donated funds towards the first phase of East Roswell Park and countless other parks and recreation related projects.
