Roswell Arts Fund Gains New Executive Director

Amy Gates joins the organization with more than 13 years of nonprofit leadership experience.

ROSWELL, GA -- The Roswell Arts Fund's Board of Directors has appointed Amy Gates to serve as the organization's inaugural executive director.

Gates joins the Roswell Arts Fund with more than 13 years of non-profit leadership experience, and an extensive history of community service and involvement. Gates is a graduate of University of Rhode Island, and she completed her master’s degree at University of Connecticut.

She is currently completing a Ph.D. in public policy and administration with a concentration in nonprofit management and leadership at Walden University.

As executive director, Gates "will bring strong, visionary, and passionate leadership to create collaborative relationships with constituents, donors, community and business partners," Roswell Arts Fund said in its press release.

The group also stated Gates will lead its development efforts, including identifying key foundations and grants whose areas of interest align with the Roswell Arts Fund.

“We are confident that Amy brings the experience, energy, and interpersonal skills to grow and expand the reach and impact of the Roswell Arts Fund,” said Rochelle Mucha, chair of the Roswell Arts Fund.

Gates brings a proven track record for growing organizations by launching effective branding campaigns and achieving measurable goals.

In her most recent role as the executive director & CEO for Gainesville-based Challenged Child and Friends, Gates was the primary face of the agency, implementing the first wide-scale fundraising campaign in over 5 years.

Her efforts help the group secure more than $400,000 in funding in 12 months through the campaign, United Way grants and private grants and foundation gifts.

Gates has supervised large numbers of staff in multiple locations, overseen multi-million dollar operating budgets, created and implemented strategic plans and administered grants and foundation gifts from $10,000 to as much as $10 million.

The Roswell Arts Fund is a powerful voice and advocate for the arts community, strengthening the scope, quality and diversity of the arts and striving to fully integrate the arts into the social and economic fabric that is uniquely Roswell.

The non profit organization works interdependently with the city of Roswell as its designated arts agency. The Roswell Arts Fund office is located in the Arts Center East Gallery at 9100 Fouts Road.
