Roswell To Break Ground on Adaptive Sports Field

The city of Roswell on Friday will break ground at the site of the new adaptive therapeutic sports field at Waller Park Extension on Dobbs Drive.

The groundbreaking ceremony, which will take place at noon Sept. 25, is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The new amenity will give Roswell the opportunity to expand its adaptive programs to include additional athletics such as youth baseball and softball, as well as enhance the experience of sport and recreation for those individuals attending the Summer Friendship Camps.
The Roswell Rotary Club has made a generous donation of $60,000 toward the project, which costs about $105,000.
In addition, the Roswell Recreation Association has donated $25,000, and a private donor has put forth $16,000 toward the project. The remaining funds will be donated by the Friends of the Roswell Parks, Inc.
