Roswell Completes Holcomb Bridge Trail Project

The city has scheduled a ribbon cutting ceremony for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23.

The Roswell Department of Transportation will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Holcomb Bridge Road multi-use trail project.

The celebration is set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Holcomb Bridge Middle School, located at 2700 Holcomb Bridge Road.

This multi-use trail connects the surrounding subdivisions to Holcomb Bridge Middle School and its facilities. With the completion of the project, residents are now able to walk or ride their bicycles to the school, to area shopping facilities, to East Roswell Park, and eventually, to the East Roswell Library once it is completed.

This project also connects with existing city trails and will eventually be extended down Holcomb Bridge Road to Garrard Landing on the Chattahoochee River.

This project, which was funded through a 2012 bond referendum approved by Roswell voters, was designed by Mulkey, Inc., and construction was completed by Summit Construction and Design.

The final construction cost was $643,605.96.
