Roswell To Consider Revoking Bar's Alcohol License

An employee is accused of selling alcohol to an undercover cop past the 2 a.m. cut-off time outlined in the city's ordinance.

ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell City Council at its June 11 meeting voted to schedule a public hearing where it will consider revoking or suspending the alcohol license of an establishment operating in the city.

The public hearing will be held during the Council's July 23 meeting, which will begin at 7 p.m. The licensee, Kata Lina Clavijo, will be allowed to demonstrate why the city should not revoke or suspend the alcohol license for Cancun Bar & Grill at 10479 Alpharetta Street #19.

Cancun Bar & Grill allegedly violated Roswell's ordinance when an employee sold an alcoholic beverage to an undercover officer around 3:30 a.m. May 11, "which is beyond the 2:00 a.m. time allowed for the sale and service of alcoholic beverages by consumption on the premises licensee," the city outlines in its charges.
