🌱 Roswell Fire Truck 21 + Fulton County Schools Job Fair + Pet Waste

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Roswell.

Hello all. I'm back in your inbox this morning with the most important things happening in town these days. Let's dive right in.

First, today's weather:

Mostly sunny and warm. High: 89 Low: 66.

Here are the top five stories in and around Roswell today:

  1. The Roswell Fire Department is eager to debut its new fire truck. On Jun. 25, Fire Truck 21 will delight young and old alike at the "Push-In" ceremony at Fire Station 21, located at 1002 Alpharetta St. During the ceremony, firefighters will push the new truck into the station and place it into service. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. Fulton County Schools will be holding a job fair on Jun. 25. Hiring opportunities are available for those interested in maintenance, police and security, custodians, paraprofessionals, food service workers, and transportation positions. The fair will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at North Springs High School, located at 7447 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  3. Are you in the market for a new property? Don't miss these five new Roswell area homes for sale, brought to you by Patch and Redfin. Click the link to get the specs on these local houses, including a home with 3 beds and 3.5 baths for $585,000, and another with 6 beds and 6 baths for $1.1 million. (Roswell Patch)
  4. Roswell has launched its 2022 pet waste cleanup campaign. The campaign is meant to remind pet owners that picking up dog waste is better for clean water, healthy people, and happy neighbors. The new version of the "Rule #1 is Pick Up #2″ campaign asks pet owners to take the pledge and submit their pup's best photo, similar to last year. (Roswellgov.com)
  5. A metro Atlanta police department is the first in the country to use new police smart cards. In nearby Alpharetta, officers have been using smart cards for the last couple of months, which allow users to get an officer's contact information and confirm their identity with just a few clicks. The smart cards also allow users to click on surveys to leave positive feedback or negative — the good ones can get sent that day to the officer to help boost morale, while complaints all go directly to their supervisor.
