Roswell Garden Club receives Holiday Decorating Grant from The Garden Club of Georgia

The Roswell Garden Club recently received a grant from the Garden Club of Georgia's Community On My Mind grant program to help fund their 2016 Holiday Project of decorating historic Smith Plantation. The $200 grant was established by the Garden Club of Georgia to support local garden club work, which provides a public benefit to local citizens. Smith Plantation matched the grant, allowing the garden club to beautify the property even more. The funding for the grant program was made possible by a generous donation from the Georgia Power Foundation. The Garden Club of Georgia was founded in 1928, and its mission is to promote beautification, conservation and education.

The Roswell Garden Club meets every fourth Tuesday at 10 a.m. (free and open to the public) in the community building at Roswell Area Park.
