These workshops will cover a variety of subjects of interest to people in the historic community. The first two workshops are:
Tracing Your Ancestors
On six consecutive Tuesdays, starting Aug.11 and ending Sept. 15, the Roswell Historical Society will hold an informative genealogy workshop. The workshop will be led by Sue Verhoef, senior archivist and genealogist at the Atlanta History Center. The workshop will take place at the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building at Roswell Area Park, which is located at 10495 Woodstock Road in Roswell. The sessions will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night, and the cost is $100 for members and $150 for non-members.

Taking Great Photos
On six consecutive Wednesdays from Aug. 19 to Sept. 23, the Roswell Historical Society will host a photography workshop led by Mike Moreland of Roswell-based Moreland Photography. The workshop will take place in the barn meeting space of Barrington Hall for the first three sessions and at outdoor locations selected by Moreland for the final three sessions. Barrington Hall is located at 535 Barrington Drive in Roswell. Class time is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the cost is $100 for members and $150 for non-members.
