Roswell To Host Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

The Roswell Public Works/Environmental Department will hold a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event next month.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, is for Roswell residents only. No commercial entities will be allowed to participate.
The city’s collection drive will run from 9 a.m. to noon at 1810 Hembree Road (Public Works/Transportation/Fire Facilities).

Please note this event will not be held at the Roswell Recycling Center.
Items accepted:
- Paint thinner/turpentine
- Pesticides including: fertilizers, herbicides, flea and tick products, fungicides, insecticides, rodenticides
- Undiluted pool chemicals
- Household cleaners
- Fluorescent bulbs
- Propane gas cylinders
- Mercury thermometers/thermostats
- Household batteries (non-rechargeable)
- Aerosols including aerosol paint
- Automotive brake fluid/used motor oil filters (no other automotive fluids)
No latex or oil-based paint will be accepted at this event. As of Nov. 3, Roswell residents can dispose of both latex and oil-based paint at the Roswell Recycling Center.
The CARE Environmental Corporation will be handling and disposing of the materials. Materials cannot be dropped off prior to the event.
