Roswell Hosts Community Budget Meeting, Rolls Out Online Survey
The meeting will include a short presentation by staff to provide an overview of the annual budgeting process.

From The City of Roswell: Trying to implement a personal budget for yourself or your family can be complex enough. See what it takes to create an effective and efficient budget for a city of more than 95,000 residents by attending the City of Roswell’s upcoming Community Budget Meeting on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at 6:30 PM, at East Roswell Park Recreation Center (9000 Fouts Road, Roswell).
The meeting will include a short presentation by staff to provide an overview of the annual budgeting process, including the phases of the budget cycle, budget principles and best practices, revenues and expenditures of each major fund, and how the City prioritizes spending to invest in areas vital to supporting community goals while maintaining fiscal strength and stability.
"Understanding a municipal budget can be intimidating, even for those well-versed in finances and accounting. We want to make sure our residents have a good understanding of how their tax dollars are managed and invested in the community. The goal of these meetings is to educate our community, so they can feel confident about how the City is putting each dollar to work for the benefit of everyone in Roswell," said Ryan Luckett, Director of the City of Roswell's Finance Department.
