Roswell Imposes Moratorium On Zoning Applications
The moratorium applies to the RS-9, RS-6, RS-4, R-TH and CC zoning districts.

Roswell, GA -- The Roswell City Council on Wednesday approved a temporary moratorium on accepting particular zoning applications.

The resolution approved by the council imposes a moratorium on accepting new rezoning applications for the RS-9, RS-6, RS-4, R-TH, and CC districts. Council members Nancy Diamond and Jerry Orlans voted against the measure.
RS-9, RS-6 and RS-4 are classified as single family small lots, R-TH are residential townhomes and CC stands for cottage courts.

The moratorium will be in place for 90 days or whenever the city makes necessary changes to its Unified Development Code.
Council members initially included RM-2 and RM-3 --residential multi-family -- zoning districts as part of the resolution, but those were removed from consideration.
Also removed from consideration was the acceptance of applications for Certificate of Appropriateness for properties adjacent to or abutting Mimosa Boulevard and/or Canton Street within the Historic District.
