Roswell Intersection To Close July 9 For 2 Weeks
The city notes the Chaffin-Hardscrabble Road closure will help shorten construction time for the Hardscrabble Green Loop project.

ROSWELL, GA — The city of Roswell on Monday will close an intersection for two weeks to shorten the construction time of a complete street project.
Hardscrabble Road and Chaffin Road will close starting July 9 so crews can shorten the time of the Hardscrabble Green Loop Project by four to five months. A roundabout will be constructed at the intersection during the road closure, the city of Roswell added.
Through traffic will be required to detour around the Hardscrabble-Chaffin intersection during the two-week closure. Detour routes will include Etris Road, Crabapple Road, S.R. 92/West Crossville Road and King Road. Local residents will still be allowed access. Signs alerting drivers to the impending closure and detours have been put in place.

Once complete, it will allow bicyclists and pedestrians to use both sides of Hardscrabble Road corridor. This concept is part of a larger bicycle and pedestrian system called the Roswell Loop. The cost of the entire project is $5.8 million and is jointly funded by the city and the Georgia Department of Transportation.
