Roswell Local Gus Hadorn Runs For City Council

Hadorn has lived in the area for decades as a teacher and farmer, and thinks he can help bring people together.

From Roswell City Council: Gus Hadorn is running for Roswell City Council. A citizen of the city for over 30 years, he has been active in civic affairs most of his adult life. Now, for his own sake and for the sake of our children he feels compelled to make a greater commitment.

His platform focuses on fresh ideas and new possibilities to help create a place where all are welcome. Common ground is higher ground. He believes: “What we do here in Roswell MATTERS and can be a light for the larger community. Our city is at a crossroads and the upcoming election will be our choosing.”

A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a master’s degree in Sociology and Education, Hadorn recently retired after teaching for 24 years. His brother and he currently maintain the farm they grew up on. Before teaching he worked in Asheville building custom homes. In Atlanta he continued to work in construction as Project Engineer for Trammell Crow. He adds: “I am in love with my wife, my children, our rivers and woods and this special place we call Roswell.”
