Alpharetta police arrested Calmetrius Marion Dawkins, 20, of Roswell and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection to the case.

Police say the incident occurred around 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16 outside California Pizza Kitchen at 6301 North Point Parkway.

According to an incident report, the male victim, the brother of the woman, told police he came to the restaurant to “assist his sister to get money back that Mr. Dawkins stole.”

Dawkins allegedly fired three rounds in the direction of the siblings outside the eatery, but did not strike anyone. He fled on foot from the location, and the woman continued to pursue Dawkins as he tried to run away.

The pursuit continued to the S.R. 400 northbound entrance ramp from Mansell Road where the woman caught up with Dawkins.

When he ”realized he couldn’t escape,” Dawkins allegedly engaged in a struggle with the woman, the report states. He fired his weapon twice at her, but the woman was able to escape injury.

The struggle was captured on dash cam video of an officer responding to the scene and after a brief chase, police were able to catch Dawkins and place him under arrest.

Jail records show Dawkins was booked into the Fulton County Jail early Wednesday morning and he remains at the facility.
