SANDY SPRINGS, GA — A Roswell man was killed early Saturday in a single-vehicle accident in Sandy Springs. Officers were dispatched around 3 a.m. Jan. 13 in the area of 5395 Roswell Road, which is located just north of its intersection with Glenridge Drive. Cops arrived on the scene to find a red Porsche 911 overturned and off to the side of the road, said Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Sam Worsham. A preliminary investigation indicates the sports car left the road after "failing to negotiate a curve," Worsham added. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Kevin Gerard Austin II of Roswell, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash while the sole passenger was transported to North Fulton Hospital for treatment.
