COTTONDALE, AL -- A Roswell resident was killed Wednesday evening in an apparent hit-and-run accident in Alabama.

Alabama state troopers say David Michael Keys, 42, was walking along Interstate 20/59 around mile marker 77 in Cottondale around 6:15 p.m. Dec. 30 when he was hit by a vehicle, according to WBRC.
Troopers say the vehicle that allegedly hit Keys did not stop, and a motorist traveling along the interstate discovered the man’s body, the news station reports.

Cottondale is about 9 miles east of Tuscaloosa. Troopers are asking anyone with information about the case to call 205-553-5531.
