First place winner will receive a Baby Lock Aria sewing machine; second place receives a Baby Lock Imagine serger and third place receives a Baby Lock Anna Jane sewing machine. Baby Lock, sponsor of the competition, is providing the same machines for audience door prizes.

“Discover the latest looks and trends for sewing, fashion and quilting from apparel and costume designers, art quilt makers and teaching professionals featured at the fashion shows, classes and exhibits,” said Janet Pray, show producer of the largest independent consumer sewing show in the country. “Mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, beginners and experts will experience ‘sew’ much creativity at the hands-on projects, demonstrations and crafter do-it-yourself programs.”

The show features sewing machines, sergers, machine embroidery, fabrics and supplies, embellishments, drafting, fitting, accessories, notions, threads, patterns, yarn, technology, kits, gadgets, embroidery designs, tools and other products and accessories for fashion sewing, quilting, costuming, needle arts, home decorating and wearable and fiber arts.

Showgoers will see exhibits, fashion-style shows and live sewing challenge competitions or can attend seminars, classes and workshops.

Attendees can learn tips and techniques at make-n-take projects in vendor displays and as they sew their own project to take home at the Sew Party Café sponsored by Country Stitches and the Interactive Sewing Area sponsored by Janome.
