Roswell North Elementary Foundation Opens Science Lab Sponsorship
The sponsorship program will support the Licata Science Lab, Fulton County's first elementary school lab with a full-time teacher.
ROSWELL, GA -- Roswell North Elementary School Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching and supporting the academic experience of the students at Roswell North Elementary School, recently launched a new business sponsorship program to support the Licata Science Lab, Fulton County’s first elementary school lab with a full-time teacher.
The sponsorship provide businesses an opportunity to invest in their local community by helping to fund educational programs. Through their partnership with the Foundation, businesses increase visibility and connect with 600+ Roswell North families.
Visit online to learn more about the benefits and the sponsorship levels, beginning at $500. Proceeds from the campaign will be used to fund 2019-2020 Licata Science Labs, new Life Science Extension, Learning Garden, and science curriculum as well as 100 percent of the teacher’s salary and most lab supplies.

The Foundation raised a record amount, $60,307, during the 2018 Annual Campaign, which ran from October to December 31, 2018. The money raised set new highs in number of company matches, and amount donated by Roswell North families. This year also saw 100 percent teacher participation.
Money raised during the 2018-19 school year will fund the following projects:

- Fully support the Licata Science Lab, new Life Science Extension and
- Learning Garden, including lab teacher salary and supplies.
- Monarchs Across Georgia Program: Training and supplies to implement this program across all grades. Supplies include Milkweed for school garden, butterfly larvae, colored pencils, card stock, supplies to create butterfly houses, supplies for butterfly games, and butterfly wings/antennae.
- Technology for classroom and teacher training.
- Scholarships for fifth grade field trip to Jekyll Island.
- Legacy Project: Roswell North is working on plans for a new, covered outdoor classroom. This will be a multi-year project to be funded over several years.
