Roswell Plans Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event
The city's event, for Roswell residents only, will be held June 4 at the Public Works/Environmental Department on Hembree Road.

ROSWELL, GA -- Next week, the Roswell Public Works/Environmental Department will host an initiative so you can properly dispose of any household hazardous waste items in your homes.
The city's collection drive will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 4 at 1810 Hembree Road. Citizens should note the event will not be held at the Roswell Recycling Center.
This event is for Roswell residents only; no commercial entities will be allowed to participate.

Items accepted include:
- Paint thinner/turpentine
- Pesticides including: fertilizers, herbicides, flea and tick products, fungicides, insecticides, rodenticides
- Undiluted pool chemicals
- Household cleaners
- Fluorescent bulbs
- Propane gas cylinders
- Mercury thermometers/thermostats
- Household batteries (non-rechargeable)
- Aerosols including aerosol paint
- Automotive brake fluid/used motor oil filters (no other automotive fluids)
No latex or oil-based paint will be accepted at this event. Residents can bring these items to the Recycling Center during normal operating hours.

The CARE Environmental Corporation will be handling and disposing of the materials. Materials cannot be dropped off prior to the event.
