Man Faces Multiple Child Sexual Abuse Charges: Roswell Police
Police have charged Rodney Damen of Roswell with multiple child sexual abuse crimes. They encourage any additional victims to come forward.
ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell Police Department has charged 55-year-old Rodney Damen of Roswell with multiple child sexual abuse crimes, and is encouraging any additional victims to come forward.
Police said an out-of-state minor contacted them to disclose a sexual abuse incident committed by Damen, according to a news release.
“Detectives immediately began to investigate the disclosure, which was reported to have taken place in Roswell,” police said.

On Oct. 20, 2021, with the assistance of the GBI, police issued a search warrant on Damen’s home in the 500 block of Jasmine Parkway. He was arrested and charged that day with one count of aggravated child molestation, one count of enticing a child for indecent purposes and one count of possession of child pornography, according to police.
Multiple electronic devices were seized from Damen’s home during the search, police said. Over the intervening months, detectives have systematically analyzed the device’s contents, they said.

As a result, two additional counts of possession of child pornography have been brought against Damen, who has remained in the custody of the Fulton County Jail without bond, police said Thursday.
There may be additional victims of abuse perpetrated by Damen, Roswell police said.
