Roswell Resident To Discuss Dream, Vision of City's Founder

Residents are invited to attends next week’s meeting of the Alpharetta Historical Society that will center on one of the founding fathers of its neighboring city.

The free event, scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 19, will feature Paulette Snoby, who will discuss her most recent book, “Georgia’s Colony of Roswell: One Man’s Dream and the People Who Lived It.”
The Roswell resident’s book is based on the dream and vision of Roswell King, one of the city’s founders, to create a thriving business and community in this remote area of former Cherokee territory.

Snoby has shared stories with school children and adults as a member of Roswell’s Historical Society at the North Fulton Teaching Museum and Barrington Hall.
She is a retired nurse who has also written about medical advances developed during times of war.
Next week’s event will be held at the Mansell House & Gardens, which is located at 1835 Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta.
