Roswell Residents Can Recycle Christmas Trees on Saturday

Keep Roswell Beautiful invites residents to give nature a gift this weekend by recycling their Christmas trees at the 24th annual Bring One for the Chipper event.

Residents can drop off their undecorated trees to one of the two Home Depot locations in Roswell from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 3:

• Home Depot at 1580 Holcomb Bridge Road in the Holcomb Woods Shopping Center; and
• Home Depot at 870 Woodstock Road.

Trees will be chipped into mulch and will be available for delivery to the public by Davey Tree. In appreciation of their recycling efforts, participants will receive a special gift, while supplies last.

In 2014, Roswell recycled the most trees per capita in Georgia through the initiative, an accomplishment recently honored by Keep Georgia Beautiful with its recognition of the local branch with the First Place Award for last year’s event.

To continue in its effort to encourage residents to reuse and recycle Christmas trees, Keep Roswell Beautiful has once again joined with sponsors The Home Depot, 11 Alive, The Davey Tree Expert Company and the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation to sponsor the local initiative.
