Roswell Rotary To Host 40th Annual Golf, Tennis Tournament
The Roswell Rotary Club will support more than 30 local charities with proceeds from the event.

On Sept. 10, 2018, the Roswell Rotary Club will hold its 40th Annual Aubrey Greenway Golf and Hagan Cup Classic Tennis Tournament at the Country Club of Roswell. The golf tournament started in 1978 when Roswell Rotarians, Frank Brown, Judge Maurice Hilliard, and former Mayor of Roswell, Aubrey Greenway, saw a need for a community fundraiser.
The first golf tournament in 1978 raised $3500 for charities in the North Fulton community. In 2013, the tennis Hagan Cup Classic, named for Roswell's Bob Hagan, was added to the day’s events so tennis players could join the fun. Today, the tournament generates over $200,000 while remaining one of the Southeast’s largest 100 percent volunteer community fundraisers. Funds raised allows Roswell Rotary to support over 30 local charities.
September of 2017 was the most active month on record for Atlantic hurricanes. Thanks to the many wonderful sponsors that still supported the cause when last year's tournament was cancelled due to hurricane Irma, Roswell Rotary Club was able to continue its support of so many deserving charities.
