Roswell Santos Girls Soccer Team Wins Gold II Division Championship

The Athena A U13 Roswell Santos Girls Blue soccer team, led by Coach Mark Lomas, won its Gold II Division at the Red Diamond Vulcan Cup Tournament in Birmingham this past weekend.

The team went up against other top competitors in the Athena A bracket from surrounding states. The Santos team rendered their opponents scoreless with goalie, Kristin Liquori, battling to the end in the championship game further denying their opponent’s PK attempts.

Scorers in the game include Maggie Furey (2), Amanda Navin (1), Sienna Kent (1), Bella Akin (1-PK), Emily Piper (1-PK).
