Roswell Schedules Household Hazardous Waste Collection
The city's event will be held Saturday, Oct. 15 at its Public Works/Environmental Department's offices at 1810 Hembree Road.
ROSWELL, GA -- On Saturday, Roswell's Public Works/Environmental Department will host the popular Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at 1810 Hembree Road.
Please note that the event, which is for Roswell residents only, will not be held at the Roswell Recycling Center.

Items that will be accepted include:
- Paint thinner/turpentine
- Pesticides including: fertilizers, herbicides, flea and tick products, fungicides, insecticides, rodenticides
- Undiluted pool chemicals
- Household cleaners
- Fluorescent bulbs
- Propane gas cylinders
- Mercury thermometers/thermostats
- Household batteries (non-rechargeable)
- Aerosols including aerosol paint
- Automotive brake fluid/used motor oil filters (no other automotive fluids)
No latex or oil-based paint will be accepted at this event. Residents can bring these items to the Recycling Center during normal operating hours.

The CARE Environmental Corporation will be handling and disposing of the materials. Materials cannot be dropped off prior to the event.
