This training will allow CERT members to assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. CERT members will also be encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.

Training for the CERT program consists of eight classes, most of which will be held at Roswell Fire Station 7 at 8025 Holcomb Bridge Road. Classes will take place on Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 24. Class size is limited to 16 participants.

Only Roswell residents will be considered for membership.

Residents who are interested in becoming a CERT member are encouraged to contact Chris Cooper at ccooper@roswellgov.com for an application.
