Roswell Seeks Community Emergency Response Volunteers
The team is made up of residents who are trained to assist the city in emergency response efforts.

ROSWELL, GA -- The Roswell Fire Department is accepting applications from residents who are interested in becoming part of the city’s Community Emergency Response Team.
The CERT is a volunteer group of trained community members who will be integrated into emergency response efforts in their area. The program educates participants about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
This training will allow CERT members to assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. CERT members will also be encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.
