But one thing many event organizers struggle with is finding volunteers to help make their events successful.
That’s why the city of Roswell is reaching out to the community to connect willing volunteers with local event organizers who need help filling vital support roles.

“Volunteers are the greatest asset of any nonprofit organization,” said Roswell Special Events Coordinator Kim Weber. “By being a volunteer you are giving back to your community and providing a service for charitable organizations far greater than a monetary donation.”
Individuals interested in helping with events in the city can fill out the Special Events Volunteer Form found at www.roswellgov.com/SpecialEvents. A member of the Special Events staff will contact the volunteers to match them with upcoming opportunities.
Roswell’s Special Events Division was established in 2014 to support the ever-growing number of special events in the city. The division works to connect local event planners and organizers with community members and Roswell businesses to identify and create a variety of sponsorship and volunteer opportunities unique to each event.
“The collaborative effort between organizers, the community, and the Special Events Division helps to attract events that are not only affordable and community friendly but that will ultimately result in a successful event for the organizers,” said Special Events Manager Chris Ward.
