Roswell Special Election Moves To Runoff
Neither of the four candidates received enough votes needed to avoid the runoff.

ROSWELL, GA -- It appears that citizens in Roswell will have to wait another month before the vacant Post 4 seat on the City Council is filled.
That's because neither of the four candidates have received the majority of the votes cast during the March 21 special election to avoid a runoff.
As of 11 p.m. Tuesday, unofficial results from the Georgia Secretary of State's Office show Lori Henry leading the pack at 41.43 percent, or 2,421 votes. She holds a narrow lead over Marie Willsey, who has received 41.09 percent, or 2,401 votes.

Fellow candidates Shawn Wright and Shelley Sears follow, respectively. Wright has come in third at 14.43 percent, or 843 votes, and Sears at 3.05 percent, or 178 votes.
The Post 4 seat became vacant when former Councilman Kent Igleheart resigned after he was charged with arranging to have sex with a minor at a DeKalb County hotel.
